Over the course of 2 days on the 19th and 20th June, I will be trekking 21 miles alongside the only remaining sections of Hadrian's Wall. I will be doing this with a team of people who are all supporting the fantastic cause Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. We will be starting at Lanercost Priory and finishing at Housestead Roman Fort. We will be camping overnight.

 

I have had a fascination with the Romans and their achievements and have wanted to do this walk for many years. When I used to be a keen runner, I had intended to run the course but nowadays I am going to find it a huge challenge just to walk it (My legs aren't as young as they used to be and the trek is graded as Challenging)!
