We support people with Spinal Cord Injury to help them live full, independent lives

Story

Reading Rowing Club, in conjunction with the Aspire Human Needs Fund, will be raising money, at a number of events,  to purchase an electronic exercise bike (www.berkelbike.com) for our colleague Dave Martin, who's tragically been paralysed in a car accident in 2007.

Prior to the accident Dave enjoyed a very active lifestyle, rowing the atlantic, and taking part in extreme marathons. This bike will make a huge difference to Dave's quality of life, and be a start point for a new phase of Dave's active lifestyle.

Events where Reading Rowing Club members will be competing to raise money for Dave include:

·          Reading University Head Race - Saturday February 28

·          Womens Head of the River Race - Saturday March 7

·          London Head of the River Race - Saturday March 21

·          Veterans Head of the River Race - Sunday March 22

·          Reading half marathon - Sunday March 29

·          Junior 10,000 metre Ergo challenge - Date TBD

Your contributions are greatly appreciated.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: ASPIRE gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Any monies raised in excess of that required to purchase the bike will go to the Aspire Human Needs Fund
