The story

On the 28 March 2010 three brave lads and Paul Jarrett are beginning an extraordinary challenge to race across the second most populated country on the planet; India. Competing against 70 teams from across the world the race will be won or lost over a 3,000km route and will no doubt be full of adventure and mishap throughout. Our vehicle of choice (choice = given to us by the organisers!) - the ***Rickshaw*** is native to the land and will be modified and decorated to represent the Real Madras team!  Pumping out an impressive and stomach churning 7bhp, with a top speed of 55kph and three wheels, we are in no doubt that this is the most practical, efficient and stylish way to tackle dirt roads, holy cows and on coming buses the country can offer.

With other teams entering from nations such as Australia, America and South Africa - we're certainly keen to show that us Brits take some beating!

The route (see attached)

We start in Kochin in the south, and have two weeks to travel north and end up at Sikkim, in the foothills of the Himalayas.
