Fundraising for Bliss
Story
Dear Friends and Relatives
As I'm sure you are all aware, on the 16th April 2006 Simon and I were a little shocked by the arrival of our beautiful son, William, 3 months earlier than expected.
Despite his early arrival he has thrived since day one and is now a very healthy 2 1/2 year old!
In the last 12 months, with the help of my employers, Manson Insurance Brokers, we have been holding various fundraising events in order to raise money for Bliss - The Premature Baby Charity. Activities so far have included a Fancy Dress Treasure Hunt, the Manchester to Blackpool Cycle, Great Manchester Run and several themed fundraisers in the office such as Wimbledon, Football and Back to School. To date we have raised over £2,500.
As our fundraising committee leader, and mother of a premature baby myself, I decided that I should do something BIG to try and raise a large sum of money towards our Bliss Fund. I have therefore made the terrifying decision to participate in a Tandem SKYDIVE from 10,000 feet!!
Those of you who know me well will know that just getting into an aeroplane terrifies me so jumping out of one is no easy task for me! But if it wasn't a challenge there would be no point!
The dive itself costs £400, £120 of which is donated to the charity of your choice, in my case Bliss. However, if I am going to jump out of a plane I sincerely hope I can raise more for Bliss than £120!! I have therefore set myself a target of £1,000............... and that's where you all come in!
There are various ways that you can sponsor me. Firstly, you may use the link below which will take you to my Justgiving web page. You can make a donation via this link with your debit or credit card which is convenient, particularly for those of you who live far away. The other advantage of this site is that the funds will go directly to Bliss.
In addition to this I will also be collecting sponsorship the old fashioned way via the attached form. If you are receiving this by email you may fill in your details and email it back to me, I will then collate everybody's details onto one single form.

I know that many of you supported me and my family in the past when we raised enough money to buy 3 specifically designed breastfeeding chairs for the Neonatal Unit at the Royal Bolton Hospital. You may not know that some of the equipment used to help William during his time on the Unit was in fact donated to the hospital by Bliss, so indeed this is a charity close to my heart.
