Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

At the beginning of this school year a lovely boy called Reece was sadly diagnosed with a germ cell tumour, a rare form of brain cancer amongst children. Reece is a lively, friendly and caring member of our school who we have enjoyed watching grow and thrive since he was three years old. Reece, now a year six pupil, is recieving amazing care and treatment from staff at Birmingham Children's Hospital and we are hoping to raise lots of money for this brilliant charity.

At the end of November, after Reece's current teacher had been to visit Reece in hospital and witnessed the incredible work the hospital carry out for poorly children, we decided we needed to set ourselves a challenge and raise some money in support of the charity.

Bring on the Three Peaks Challenge!!

This challenge involves walking up Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowden in 24 hours, a total of 27 miles and to the heady heights of 1334m! Oh gosh!

We are currently attempting to train for this challenge and admiring a lot of the beautiful countryside as we go!

Any donation would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much for all of your support!

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
