My run was on Sunday 21 September and I completed this in 2.32hrs - quite a challenging run and it was a great experience running in aid of Skanda Vale Hospice.

I am running a Half Marathon to help raise funds for Skanda Vale Hospice

Once again its that time of the year where my feet are itching to do another big run but GUESS WHAT? I want to run for a good cause and I need your support with this... 

How? Well leave the 13.2 miles for me to run..all YOU need to do is DIG DEEP in your pockets and SPONSOR ME GENEROUSLY.  now thats what I call teamwork  :o)

Why Skanda Vale Hospice?

1) Skanda Vale Hospice is a Day-Centre providing respite care, complementary therapies, practical and emotional support for people with a life-threatening illness.

2) They are funded entirely by voluntary donations and have no NHS grant or government sponsorship.

3) One of their core strengths is that the hospice is staffed entirely by volunteers. A board of trustees heads the organisation, whilst a hospice manager fulfils the daily administration and supervision of a care team made up of therapists, carers, a chef and various volunteer staff. All senior staff are full time members of the Skanda Vale monastic community, and as such, have fully committed their lives to the love and care of all forms of life which I respect and admire.
