      I heard of Milli's story and was very touched by what happened and felt useless.

      Great Ormond Street Hospital does great work and desperately needs further funding to buy vital equipment and fund essential research. Amazing things happen at Great Ormond Street Hospital every day. With your help we can keep the magic alive for our very ill children & their families.

      I have decided that I want to do whatever I can to help charities and projects which support such causes and this is my first step. I hope all the pain of training will equal the money raised.

      I recently became a father and cannot contemplate the pain that the family went through. It is a very worthy cause and please support us as every little helps.

      Thank you for helping us in reaching our target of raising £1,000,000 for charities and projects that make the lives of children healthier and happier - all inspired by a one in a million girl MILLI.

      Did a 17 mile run today in Windsor Great Park. Best thing about it was getting to the end ! Pleased I managed it though :) Race day is just 9 weeks away-yikes!

      On 7 April 2013 I will be running the 26.2 miles of the Paris marathon.  The training is really hard.  I am scared about how much it is going to hurt and how I am going to manage to keep going.  But then I think of Milli.

      Milli was a beautiful, joyful, loving  11 year old girl with a true passion for life.  She was my niece and she sadly passed away on 9th April 2012 following a year long battle with a brain stem tumour.  Her determination to live life to the full and her ability to keep her spirits up when the going got tough is my inspiration to grasp this opportunity and make the most of it.

      I am running the Paris marathon in Milli’s memory and to raise money for KIDS COMPANY.This is an amazing charity which aims to first stabilize each troubled young person who comes to them by meeting their practical needs, before helping them to address emotional and behavioural difficulties. The young person is then helped to identify talents and interests and so develop aspirations for the future.   In this way the poverty cycle is broken and these kids are given skills and confidence to go forward in life.  This charity is close to the heart of Milli’s parents Bittu and Anita.

      Milli ON AND ON has been set up in memory of our beloved daughter Milli, who passed away on April 9th 2012, following a year-long battle with a brain tumour.  We were privileged to have a walking, talking angel by our side for ten magical years, and we miss her presence so much. Whilst we wish she could have stayed longer, Milli enriched our lives so fully that we can continue to drink from that cup, until we meet again.

      Whilst Milli was terminally ill, she was surrounded by unbounded love and this made her journey easier. We are only too aware that not all children are as cherished as Milli was.  Kids Company do all they can to bridge the gap, by providing a loving, supportive environment in which young ones can thrive and feel empowered to go beyond their difficult circumstances.  

      In memory of Milli, we ask that when you donate money, that you also pledge to make a positive change in your life. How you choose to enrich your life is up to you and it need not be grand changes, because as our girl taught us, there is such power and strength in little things. It could be as simple as remembering to floss, learning a new skill, or, if you have children, perhaps pledge to spend just five minutes a day being fully present to them. 

      It does not matter what you pledge to enrich your life, or if you do it for a day, a month or forever. What matters is that when you share your pledge with us, you give us the strength to achieve our target and in doing so, you carry on the goodness and pure love that was and always will be Milli Maya Kaushal. 

      Millonandon has a target of raising £1,000,000 to support charities and projects that make the lives of children healthier and happier, all inspired by our one in a million girl MILLI.

      We want to honour Milli by asking you to pledge to enrich your own life, as she did ours.  How you choose to do this is up to you and it need not be grand changes because as our girl taught us, there is such power and strength in little things. It could be as simple as remembering to floss, fasting occasionally, learning a new skill, seeing more of the people that count in your life, giving up a habit that you know does not serve you, or, if you have children, perhaps pledge to spend just five minutes a day being fully present for them, leaving your mobile phone to one side.  It does not matter what you pledge for positive change or if you do it forever or just for 30 days, what matters is that you do it and know that each time you do, you are carrying on the goodness and pure love that was and always will be Milli Maya Kaushal.

      Millonandon has a target of raising one million pounds, hence the name.  We will support charities and projects that make the lives of children healthier and happier.  Please share your pledge to give to Millionandon and to give to your own good cause – you.

      Our beautiful daughter, Milli, passed away on April 9th 2012, following a year-long battle with a brain-stem tumour. We were privileged to have had a walking, talking angel by our side for ten magical years and whilst we wish she could have stayed longer, that wish was never in our power.  

      What we can do is support Great Ormond Street's vital research into better understanding why tumours like Milli's are fatal, and in doing so ensure that, in time, other children have a greater chance of survival. 

      Milli  was a joyful, loving girl with an infectious giggle and a passion for life.  She truly was the girl who danced as if no one was watching, sang as if no one was listening and lived each day as if it were her last.  Always in the moment, Milli embraced her life and all she endured with extraordinary strength, determination and dignity.

       In early 2011, I noticed changes in Milli.  Her once feisty, fun personality became contemplative and withdrawn, her speech became rather slurred and she seemed constantly tired. I had my concerns but nothing could have prepared me for the news we received in May 2011; that she had an inoperable brain-stem tumor.

      To be told my precious daughter would live no more than 3 to 10 months felt like being stabbed in the heart and, frankly, I would have preferred that option, were it given to me.  Milli herself was confused and sad to be missing out on the last term in junior school and on a life that she was so looking forward to living.  After the initial disbelief, tears, confusion and anger came a strange acceptance and no more so than from my daugher. In spite of her declining health she was resolute, and she remained strong, loving and laughing throughout. 

      We want to honour Milli by asking that your donation be accompanied by a pledge to enrich your own life, as she did ours.  It need not be a grand gesture, because as our girl taught us, there is such power and strength in little things. Examples of pledges received are: "I will write to all those I love, to tell them so".  "I will leave my old novels on the train, with a note for a stranger to enjoy and share". "My family will work in a soup kitchen on Christmas Day'.  Your vital donation will support GOSH, your pledge will spread happiness and will carry on the goodness and pure love that was, and always will be, Milli. 

      Thank you for helping us reach our target of raising one million pounds of which £128,000 will go to Great Ormond Street's research project into brain tumour's and the rest to other charities and projects that make the lives of children healthier and happier - all inspired by our one in a million girl MILLI.
