Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself, William and David are joining Ed, Heathers husband in raising funds for Beating Bowel Cancer, a charrity working to help find effective cures for the dreadful disease which took Heather from us at only 35 years of age.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

My good friend Eddie sadly lost his wife to bowel cancer this year. In an effort to raise money for Beating Bowel Cancer I am growing a beard throughout December - if you can donate a few pounds it would be much appreciated.

Donating online using JustGiving should only take a few minutes and is totally secure. They promise not to spam you or give your details to anyone else. If you are a UK taxpayer please do tick the box to allow the charity to claim GiftAid on your donation.

Alternatively I can collect cash donations in person.

Thanks for looking and I hope you can donate something.

    Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In memory of my late wife, Heather, I'm supporting the "Beating Bowel Cancer" charity by growing a beard (or attempting to) during December, aka Decembeard.

I met Heather in 2002 and after careful consideration (making her wait!), decided she was the one for me and on Christmas Eve 2007 asked her to marry me. She said yes.

However, 2 weeks after a beautiful wedding in August 2009 and after a major op we found out Heather had bowel cancer. Two weeks after that we found out it had spread to the lungs and although treatable, was no longer cureable.

After a courageous and brave battle against the disease, least of all coping with the overpowering chemotherapy, we sadly lost her in October 2011. I will miss her more than anyone will ever know.

Too many people have a similar story - bowel cancer is very hard to detect and sadly, all too often when it is detected it is too late.  Please help me raise money to help us stop this horrible cancer.

So please dig deep and donate now.

  • Beating Bowel Cancer

    Beating Bowel Cancer

Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cause of cancer deaths. Around 1 in 18 people will get bowel cancer and, of the 100 people diagnosed every day, almost half will die of the disease. Yet, in over 90% of cases, bowel cancer could be treated successfully if diagnosed early, which is why raising awareness is so important. Beating Bowel Cancer is a national charity for those affected by bowel cancer and is dedicated to raising awareness of the symptoms and ultimately saving more lives. Visit http://www.beatingbowelcancer.org to find out more.
