We did it! On Sat 14 Sep Naomi came 166th, I came 309th out of 700 runners. She enjoyed it; I found the last few miles hard going but am v glad to have done it.

The charity: Mental Health Research UK because mental illnes is so underfunded*, so as to help in the understanding of mental illness and how to prevent and treat it.

* Even allowing for early death, mental illness causes 23% of UK's spoiling of life by illness, compared with 16% for cancer and 2% for diabetes. Yet for every £100 spent on cancer research alone, just £2.60 is spent on research into mental illness.
