Story
THE 3 PEAKS CHALLENGE
The Serious Stuff
The Date
8th and 9th May 2010
What are we doing?
3 Peaks - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon from top to bottom in 24 long, sleep deprived, painful hours.
Why?
To raise money for the COINS Foundation who inturn build houses, schools, hospitals and infrastructure for some of the poorest countries in the developing world
What we would like you to do?
We would like for you to donate generously to this worthy cause and help those still living in the third world in some of the poorest conditions imaginable.
What will you get in return?
Nothing material - accept maybe for a photo of our team totally knackered at the end of the challenge!
But more importantly you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you personally have helped many of the poorest people in the world
Thank You

Now basically our team is a mixed bag and could sail through this event unscathed and achieve a finish in record time, or we may all struggle like hell!
Dave Woodger
Is really tall, fit and appears to be top heavy (shoulders basically are too big for his body) so he may struggle on the descent and getting through tight gaps.
Mountain Rating - Yeti (big, strong, but has questionable mobility)
Jon Lee (little gay Jon to those in the know)
Probably the fittest of us all, regular footballer, waist line of posh spice and all round sportsman. Not sure how Jon will survive in the wilderness especially when the wind is blowing his hair.
Mountain Rating - Mountain Goat (light and nimble but susceptible to predators)
Jon Shaw
Talks a good game in both terms of fitness and ability to complete this event. Mental strength may let him down - probably the 3rd fittest in the team (4th fittest if we include the driver)
Mountain Rating - Wolf (physically strong but wont stop crying)
Mark Roles
The eldest by a good 5 years, the heaviest weight for height (only just) and maybe the unfittest (tbc as training hard). Experience in mountain ways may just get him through (not to be trusted with emergency food supply).
Mountain Rating - Ray Mears (not experienced like Ray, but same size)
