Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
When mum passed away in May 2008 Dad and I decided that as he was turning 70 and as I am turning 40 and have not even run for a bus for 10 years! That we would raise money for St. Catherines Hospice by running the London Marathon.
The care and genuine affection from all the staff for mum while she was there was very much appreciated and eased what was a very difficult time for everyone.
Dad and I want to express our sincere gratitude to St Catherines Hospice for everything they did. We felt the best way to do this was to try and raise money to ensure that they are there for the next person that needs them.
Dad and I completed the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon on Sunday 15 Feb - not sure how we will do the additional 13.1 miles in April - more training needed for me. (2 hours 10 minutes).
Dad has had an operation on his knee so is out for a couple of weeks but due to start training again soon. I did the Hastings Half Marathon and basically was the same time time as Tunbridge Wells - Never going to break any speed records! My traing continues and I have lost 1 stone and most of my trousers are too big for me! Not long to go now.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Catherine’s Hospice (Crawley) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
