Story
Hi
I am riding 4000 miles across Canada in memory of George and Irene Young (my parents) who through their selfless efforts gave me the opportunity to lead a normal life outside the confines of a wheelchair.
I was born with bilateral club feet and the doctors told my parents they did not think I would walk. Neither my parents or the doctors gave up hope and it was through their efforts that today no one knows I had these problems unless I tell them.
Unfortunately there are children whose medical conditions are far worse than my own was.
Today Great Ormond Street hospital is a beacon of light for children and their families with some of the most complicated medical conditions.
Their work is never ending and they need in excess of £50 million in donations each year to continue their work. Helping children, helping families.
Your donation will be greatly appreciated.
