I have been talked in to strapping on the goalie pads for an ice hockey game in aid of Cancer Research. I have never played in net before and can hardly move in all that gear! training is going well and it is a lot of fun if a little painfull.

I will be backstopping the Sheffield team against a team from Nottingham our sworn rivals. I will be all that stands in the way of 6-ounces of vulcanised rubber traveling at up to 160KPH, hitting me with the equivalent force of a proffesional boxers punch!!
