Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Any donation however small will be very much appreciated. I am going to cycle from London to Paris - that’s about 300 miles over 4 days. I set off on June 18th 2008 and hopefully I will be in Paris on 21st!

I am arranging a few fundraising activities to raise the money for Crisis which helps homeless people – especially the young and vulnerable. Here are some of the events I have organised so far.

The Olde Vic on Edgeley Curry-Oke
Steve & Jo at Ye Olde Vic on Edgeley had a Curry-oke night on Easter Sunday and we held a raffle to raise money for Crisis. We raised a fabulous £185.
A very special thanks to Steve & Jo for helping me raise the money, to Steve for winning the Easter Egg in the raffle and then auctioning it, to the great guy who then paid £30 for it, to Dave the air-guitar hero for winning the bottle of single malt then making a donation and well done to the nice couple who won the champagne (sorry, I forgot your names). Thanks to everyone for your generosity.

Cheadle & Marple Sixth Form College Tombola & Raffle.
Leading up to Easter weekend we held a Tombola and Raffle on reception at the Marple campus of Cheadle & Marple Sixth Form College. We raised an amazing £215.60 for Crisis. Thanks to everyone who donated prizes, helped with the event and bought tickets. A very special thanks Sue, Kath, Claire & Di on reception for all their help.

Table Top Sale at Woodley Civic Hall.
On Saturday 12th April I did a table top sale and raised £70 for Crisis. Thanks to every one who donated goods for the sale. A special thanks to mum for helping me do the sale and for paying the £12 fee to Woodley Civic Hall. If you are ever there get yourself a bacon butty - delicious.

The Arden Arms, Millgate, Stockport
We held a quiz & raffle for my fundraising on Tuesday 22nd April. Thanks to Steve and Joe for letting me take over the regular quiz for the night and the staff for helping me out. Thanks to the people who donated prizes, John for the bottle of wine, mum for the cosmetic set, Steve and Joe for the meal for two voucher and Sharon for the Marks & Spencer voucher. But most of all thanks to all the people who came and donated their money to the cause. We raised a fantastic £100 which has now been paid to Crisis.

The Blue Team, SMBC.
Thanks to everyone In the Blue Team at Stockport Councils office in Houldworth Mill, Reddish. Special thanks to Trish for organising the raffle of the Easter Egg. We made £17.70 profit for Crisis and Geraldine got to put a few pounds on over easter when she won the prize.

Return to the Arden Arms
On Tuesday 6th May I hosted The Arden Arms regular quiz night while Steve & Joe hit Barcalona. All entry fees were donated to Crisis. Again all participants were fed with Barbaras hot nibbles & cold sandwiches - on the house! Thanks to Steve and Jo for letting me host again and to Barbara, Linda & Nicky for helping me out. Not the usuall large crowd because they all buggered off to Barcalona with the boys but we still raised another £25. Thanks to everyone who came along.
