<p><span style="color: #0000ff;">Well - I did it!</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #0000ff;">Two thirds was great, but the last third I just wanted to stop or sit down - anything but run. But the thought of having to explain to all my sponsors kept me going - thanks. Knowledge of</span><span style="color: #0000ff;"> the bonus I was going to get from someone for every minute under 5 hours was in my head, but I couldn't get the message to my legs.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #0000ff;">Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page and special thanks to those of you who have already donated. You may notice that I have increased my target. I looked as if you were going to help me reachthe earlier figure - and then it would no longer be a "target".</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #0000ff;">I know what a difference a Guide Dog can make to a blind person and how much effort it takes to change a little puppy into an animal that someone can trust their life with, every day. The training does not come cheap and I would like to do my bit to help.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #0000ff;">At the end of my forties I ran the <strong><span style="color: #333333;">Edinburgh Marathon</span></strong> for the first time and I repeated the mistake nearly a decade later when I nearly collapsed due to the heat, lack of water and, admittedly, lack of training, crossing the line just under 5 hours after starting.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #0000ff;">This year I am hoping to do a little better. I would like to say that my training has all gone to plan. I would like to say that but......</span></p>
