Hi my name is Rob. I'm a Singer, Songwriter, DJ, Promoter & Special Events Coordinator from Newcastle Upon Tyne.

 

I run for Tyne Bridge Harriers and in 2011, I am going to take part in all of the Great Run events in the UK & Ireland to help support the Metro Radio & Magic Charity Appeal CASH FOR KIDS.

The 2011 Great run Challenge starts on 8th January in Edinburgh and finishes on 30th October in Portsmouth. There are now 9 events in the series of varying distances. Below is the timetable of events which I'll update as I complete each achievement.

Just been announced that Great Run have added an event in Birmingham on 23rd October - The Great Birmingham Run which I have now included in this challenge.

8th January - Great Winter Run, Edinburgh (5K) - (completed in 20:33)

10th April - Great Ireland Run, Dublin (10K) - (completed in 41:38)  

 15th May - Great Manchester Run, Manchester (10K) - (completed in 40:26)

next event >> 17th July - Great North 10K, Gateshead (10K)

18th September - Great North Run, Newcastle / Gateshead (13.1 miles)

2nd October - Great Edinburgh Run, Edinburgh (10K)

9th October - Great Yorkshire Run, Sheffield (10K)

new event > 23rd October - Great Birmingham Run (13.1 miles)

30th October - Great South Run, Portsmouth (10 miles)
