Story

The Biggart Baillie Bandicoots are a team of colleagues from Biggart Baillie LLP who have volunteered to participate in the Rob Roy Challenge on 21 June 2008.

The Rob Roy Challenge is an exciting charity fundraising event. Participants cover 55 miles of the spectacular Rob Roy Way by a combination of walking and cycling - all in around 12 hours.

For more information on the challenge, visit www.robroychallenge.com.

Biggart Baillie LLP is delighted to be taking part in the Rob Roy Challenge again this year. We are one of Scotland’s leading commercial law firms with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Our ethos is ‘taking business personally’ which means that we are committed to delivering a considerate business practice by developing effective working relationships with employees, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Through the sponsorship of individuals and teams, the event will raise money for three charities.

Our aim is to raise up to £7,600 for the charities outlined below:

The Prince's Trust helps young people overcome barriers and get their lives working. Through practical support including training, mentoring and financial assistance, the charity helps 14-30 year olds realise their potential and transform their lives. Find out more at www.princes-trust.org.uk/

The Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust was established in 1989to help young people across Scotland set up and continue in business. PSYBT works with 18-25 year olds, with a particular focus on the disadvantaged. Find out more at www.psybt.org.uk

The Place2Be works inside schools to support and nurture troubled children. They provide one-to-one and group counseling sessions, and a drop-in service to all school pupils. By providing children with a safe place to explore their problems through talking, creative work and play, they enable them to cope now and to make better informed decisions about their lives. www.theplace2be.org.uk/

Habitat for Humanity works in 92 countries around the world through local community groups. They campaign to make simple, decent housing a right for all, and enable people living in poverty to renovate or build their own simple, decent home in locally appropriate ways.
