Story

Why? A good question…

A friend of mine, also running with us, has endured many hours at the hands of fine doctors at both the Great Ormond Street Hospital as a child and in recent years at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford. We, in no doubt a moment of madness, decided to run this years' Oxford Half marathon. Those of you who know me will realise what a challenge this is for me but actually I am up for it. Not just for the charity but also for myself. It must be that time in life...

We are now a team of 5 and we need all the support we can get to get us over the finishing line. Please support us and give generously so we can help an amazing hospital continue their amazing work.

About the charity

The Oxford Transplant Foundation is an independent charity established to raise funds for the sole benefit of the Oxford Transplant Centre. The Foundation raises funds that are used to enhance the Centre's facilities and to promote research in transplantation. It is devoted to the dissemination of information about the latest medical developments and their implications for improving patient care. The Foundation provides opportunities for stakeholders of the Oxford Transplant Centre -- from patients, doctors, through to carers and scientists -- to work together in continuing to build the Centre's reputation as a world leader in transplantation.
