We originally had planned to cycle from Dublin to Cork in Ireland, however due to a number of logistical and financial issues involved with this route, we had to have a re-think!

So, we have now decided to cycle around the West Country from Bridgwater in Somerset to Exeter in Devon via, Exmoor, Dartmoor and Plymouth, a distance of 200 miles over 2 days on 30th and 31st July 2009.

The ride is in memory of my mother-in-law who passed away suddenly in September 2008.  The charity that she supported was the West Yorkshire Forget-me-Not Trust whose aim is to raise funds to build and run a children's respite centre and hospice in West Yorkshire.  This was a charity that was close to the heart of Christine and one that we are also proud to support.

We are also very pleased that Bob Fairbairn and Paul Shreeves from the Pluss Organisation Ltd will also be joining us on this ride.  This organisation offers employment, development and training opportunities for people in Devon who have disabilities.  We understand that some of the people associated with this organisation will also be joining us for various parts of the ride and we look forward to welcoming them when we see them!
