Please dig deep and sponsor me as I prepare to run the half marathon for the Stars Appeal & Friends of Salisbury Hospital.

The reason I’ve chosen this charity is that 4 years ago on Christmas Eve I was admitted to Salisbury Hospital and was in for 4 days over the Christmas period.

When Christmas Day came I was feeling rather sorry for myself, when a lovely lady came into my ward handing presents to every patient and spent time with us before our families came to visit. I thought this was really thoughtful and I've always rememberd it because it cheered me up first thing on Christmas morning.

So now, I want to repay this kindness by raising money as a ‘thank-you’ so that this charity might be able to use all donations to buy a few more Christmas presents this year.

P.S. The last time I did any running was the 1,500m at school ... almost 10 years ago!!!
