Story
On Sunday 13th April I'll be running/jogging/shuffling/weeping/swearing and crawling my way around the London Marathon in a Fulham FC kit and I'll be thinking about my Dad (a life long Fulham fan - I'm not just wearing it for fun!) every step of the way.
This year I'm running for Prostate Cancer UK and more specifically for my Dad (and all dads, grandads, brothers, sons, uncles, nephews, partners and friends who may be affected). My Dad, Bob, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in September 2012 and he's been fighting the brave fight ever since, even though it has spread and isn't curable.
I'd do anything to make him better but I can't - what I can do is raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK to help men like my Dad and hopefully one day find a cure.
Most people know that I'm a dedicated albeit rubbish runner who should probably retire from the sport of marathon running on health grounds but I just can't I'm afraid. Not only is it a terrible addiction of mine but it has enabled me to raise money for some wonderful causes and none more important than this one.
So please, if you can, donate to Prostate Cancer UK and know that you have helped to take a step closer to beating prostate cancer once and for all.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU xx
