Story
A slightly tubby sofa-lover with short legs and asthma is running the London Marathon. I've no experience and only two months in which to train. How will I manage to overcome my intrinsic laziness? Will my body crumble under the pressure of all that 'doing'? Who knows, that's part of the fun and I'll make sure I keep you up-to-date via my blog What Liz Saw.
I'm hoping to raise money for a new charity that I think is very important - the Canal & River Trust. They help protect the 2,000 miles of waterways that wind their way through Britain and work towards reconnecting people with these havens of nature.
Waterways aren't just there to hide stollen shopping trolleys and broken white goods, they're a lifeline for plants and animals and that includes humans. Recent studies have shown that contact with nature, even for small periods of time, can reduce stress levels. So help everyone chill the f**k out AND enjoy feeling smugly charitable by donating towards the future of our waterways!
The swans will it so.
Thanks, and cheers for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
