10 years ago this year, Bamp (my grandad) passed away. Even though he did not die because of dementia, it was a condition that he and my family lived with during his final years. 

To give a little back to somebody who gave me so much, I will be running the annual Florence marathon to raise money for the Alzheimers Society.

I have choosen this charity because they offer support to the person suffering with dementia, but also offer rest bite and care for the family of that person, which is just as vital.
