Story
Niamh's Daddy Niall, Elena, Helen, Ben and Clair are running 10 miles in the Great South Run on 24th October 2010.
Most of the team are not regular runners, so stepping up to this challenge has required real determination and devotion to the cause!
We can't think of a cause more worthy than running in memory of our little girl Niamh who died last year from complex epilepsy aged only 4.
Niamh started having seizures soon after she was born and conventional medications were not effective. By the time she reached 1 year old she was having over 100 seizures a day and had suffered huge brain damage.
"Matthews Friends" offered her a chance to try a new dietary treatment for epilepsy called a "Ketogenic Diet" and this treatment stopped Niamh's seizures in their tracks which gave us 3 extra years with her and for that time we will always be grateful.
Please allow this charity to help other children like Niamh. Your money will save lives, so please dig deep and donate now.
