Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I took up running in October as a way to lose weight. I achieved my goal but think I lost my mind as well as the weight, I entered the Daily Telegraph draw for the Great North Run.!
The week I heard that I had a place, I attended the funeral of a good friend who shared my experiences of trekking to Everest in 1994 and whose son I taught to mountaineer. Robin Lavery was a founder member of the Society for Mucopolysaccharide Diseases and so I have decided to run the Great North Run in his memory and to raise money for the charity he co-founded.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Society For Mucopolysaccharide Diseases gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
