Asics Wilmslow Half Marathon 2009 · 29 March 2009 ·

Every two hours, someone in the UK will become paralysed. Globally, it is estimated that 15.4 million people are living with paralysis. At Spinal Research our vision is to create a world where paralysis can be cured, no matter when the injury occurred or where in the world.

Story

Thankyou for visiting my fundraising page.  I am taking part in the BUPA Manchester 10K on 17th May and I am also hoping to complete my first half-marathon on 29th March, along with my work colleague Pam Wilson.  I have chosen to raise sponsorship for Spinal Research, Pam will be running on behalf of 'Movers and Shakers' The Cure Parkinson's Trust (www.justgiving.com/pamwilson4)

Since the start of the year we have been training religiously and on Saturday mornings when most ‘normal’ people are enjoying a well deserved lie-in…. we have been pounding the streets of
Preston.  On more than one occasion we have ended up running further than planned (mainly due to a lack of clear road signs or my mis-measurement using gmaps pedometer!)  We may be unable to walk afterwards but as we are both running for charity we feel this is a worthwhile sacrifice!!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Spinal Research gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated...
