I am training hard to run the London Marathon on the 13^th April 2008, for United Response – the day after my birthday!! It has been a gruelling regime since early January; cold nights and dark mornings, but my efforts will hopefully pay off on the day. I hope to beat Jimmy 'Jangle' Savile!

You may not have heard of United Response, since they are not as well known as some organisations, but they do work extremely hard to provide support and very practical help for adults with the sort of learning and mental health problems that many of us cannot imagine, and they are among some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
