UPDATE: Due to poor visibility and strong winds the sky dive was cancelled on 31st March. It is now taking place on 14th April, weather permitting!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 31st March 2011 I am taking part in a skydive, jumping from 12000, feet to raise money for The Anaphylaxis Campaign.
The Anaphylaxis Campaign began in 1994 following the deaths of 4 people from allergic reactions to nuts and since then it has provided support and information to people in the UK at risk of life-threatening allergic reactions (anaphylaxis).
Food allergies in particular are becoming more common yet their severity and impact on the life of those living with them can easily be overlooked. The Anaphylaxis Campaign aims to increase allergy awareness and is active in researching the cause of anaphylaxis. They also run workshops and provide support groups for allergy sufferers and their families, a valuable resource for anyone who has to adapt to living with a life-threatening allergy.
For more information on The Anaphylaxis Campaign, allergy facts and upcoming events visit the website at www.anaphylaxis.org.uk
You can also support the Campaign next time you shop online by registering with The Giving Machine. The participating shops make a donation to your chosen charity/charities any time you purchase from them via The Giving Machine website. The web address to join and register The Anaphylaxis Campaign as your chosen charity is: http://www.thegivingmachine.co.uk/charity_details_page.php?ben_id=55701
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you.
