Story
So the grand fundraising total is £1,122 - a very impressive figure indeed - and a massive thank you to all of you for being so generous. I'm pleased to say that I've finally got the video into a roughly viewable format & it won't hurt your ears anymore (well, it won't hurt them if you don't mind 80s music...!). Even though the site is no longer accepting donations, you can still view videos, photos and donation details. If you suddenly feel the urge to donate more to Mind, please visit their website (link on the left of the screen) or give them a call.
Thanks again!

So it's official. I am nuttier than squirrel poo and have decided to throw myself out of a perfectly good aeroplane from two miles high (obviously I'll be attached to a parachute). Whilst I'm sure this will be lots of fun for me (gulps!) I am doing it for a very good cause.
Mind is the leading mental health charity in England and its work is often overlooked. Whether it's through our personal lives or our professions, most of us know someone with a mental health illness, be it a common condition like depression or dementia or one of the hundreds of other illnesses. In fact, one in four of us will suffer from a mental health illness at some point in our lives. Not everyone with a such a condition is lucky enough to have a great family to support them and for some people, the effects of these stigmatised illnesses can be devastating. In addition to its policy work, Mind offers vital services to users, including support work and counselling, day centres and supported housing. These services could help many, many more people but they need our support......
This will be the first time I've ever done this and, having never even done a bungee jump before, I am a bit apprehensive! This is a great cause and as it's my first ever jump, I think it warrants a donation. So go on.... get your cash out and sponsor me!
Thanks!
Ruth
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mind - The Mental Health Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
