Crohn's and Colitis UK is a charity close to both of our hearts after Ryan was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis back in 2014. One of several forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, the incurable and debilitating condition causes life-changing symptoms such as chronic diarrhoea, rectal bleeding and extreme abdominal pain. 

The charity not only carries out extensive research into potential cures and treatments for IBD, but also provides support services, personal grants, local events and blog posts - all in aim of improving the standard of living for sufferers.

The Great North 10K is the first running event we'll both compete in and we hope it'll be the first of many to raise as much money as possible for such a meaningful and worthwhile cause.
