On Sunday 8th March 2009 we ran the Saints way in aid of Help for Heroes and have over £600 pledged.

The weather was fantastic for the first 15 miles but as we reached Helman Tor (our highest point) it turned to heavy showers and stayed like that until the end at Fowey. Friends met and ran with us along the way which really helped in the latter stages as tiredness took over. We finally did it in 5 hours 8 minutes, arriving bloodied and mud covered at the church, dressed as superheroes, just in time for the end of Sunday Service...oops!

What is HELP for HEROES all about?

It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it's about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw.
