Story

Well here I am again - 2011 and still fighting the flab! Off to a good start though - first week I lost 2 lbs (how I lost anything over Christmas and New Year, I'll never know!) and the second week I lost another 1.5 lbs - total lost now is 38.5 lbs! Not bad for someone with absolutely no willpower.

Keep on encouraging me - there is still a lot more to shift! x

Hurrah - it's the beginning of February and I have made it to 3 whole stone - so chuffed with myself, I can't stop smiling. No time to sit on my (not quite so fat now!) bum though, got more to burn! x

Another 2 lbs shifted (44 lbs in total). Have started clearing my wardrobes, no point hanging on to those oversized clothes, not going back there again! x

Phew things slowed down for a while as I reached a plateau (a bit scary but was determined not to give up). Then, all of a sudden I lost a pound, then another two, then a half - total currently stands at 48.5 lbs lost. Still a way to go, but I'm glad I stuck to it as I am feeling positive and know I can continue to lose. Thanks again to everyone who offers me encouragement and support, especially when things get a bit tough. Together we can create a new slimline version of me xxx

Haven't updated for a little while - but still trying hard. Have now (beginning of July) lost a total of 51 lbs - got a certificate from WW so that has given me a boost. And treated myself to a few items in smaller sizes for my disappearing wardrobe! Thank you for all the words of encouragement and everyone that is sponsoring me - hope I am making you proud xxx

Weight Loss after 1 week - 4.5 lbs - off to a good start!

2nd week another 4 lbs shifted - yippee! Darren & Annie are doing great too - give us all a pat on the back!

Weeks 3 & 4 - 2.5 lbs lost on each (despite having spent 5 days by the seaside!)- I have now lost a total of 13.5 lbs. Not time to give up yet though!

Weeks 5 & 6 - popped off to Cornwall for a few days - but managed to resist the temptations of clotted cream and chips! Only lost 0.5 lbs each week though. Have now lost a total of 14.5 lbs, and am in need of a bit of encouragement...

Wow!!! Don't ask me how but I have managed to lose a whopping 4 lbs this week - taking me up to 18.5 lbs in total so far. Thanks to everyone who is supporting me - I couldn't do it without you - let's keep it going x

Boohoo - nothing lost this week. Then again nothing gained either, so not so bad. Must try harder - give me a bit of a boost if you can x

Thanks to everyone that encouraged me this week - I have lost another 4 lbs - making a total of 22.5 lbs so far! With a little bit of a push I should be able to make it 2 stone by Christmas...

Okay so it was only 1/2 a lb this week, but better off than on! I have a new goal - another 10 lbs by Christmas - do you think I can make it? It's worth a flippin' try, so here goes...

If you've been holding your breath waiting for an update, here it is - since starting the 'lose 10 lbs by Christmas' challenge I have lost 12 lbs - and I still have 4 weeks to shift a bit more! I can't believe I have lost 2.5 stone in total so far - it has definitely been worth it. But I'm still not ready to give up. Thank you all for your continuing support x

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. So here's the deal. People describe my appearance in various ways - bubbly, cuddly, curvy. Nice, but the bottom line is I am quite simply fat!

With the help of my friends, family and a local slimming club I intend to shed those unwanted pounds. And while I'm doing it what better motivation could there be than to raise much needed funds for Animals In Need.

You can offer me encouragement by making any kind of donations for which I would be very grateful. You can donate at any stage throughout the next few months. I will be weighed weekly and will keep you updated.

Darren and Annie are also offering me support and encouragement, so if you could keep us motivated we would be extremely grateful. Forget skydiving and climbing mountains, this is what you call a real challenge!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you for your generosity, and wish me luck!

Love Sally x
