I am running the Great North Run in September raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association which is striving to care for those afflicted by and to find a cure for, what is a horrible degenerative disease. It killed my Dad slowly over a three long years. It was a very tough time for my Dad, but also for my Mum who cared for him as the disease took hold and paralysed him.
