Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Just thought I'd update you all as I completed my first half marathon race (that's 13.1 miles!!) this morning within my target time (2hrs 25mins) and came 7,190 out of 15,000.
Came home to a nice roast lunch with Brian, mum and Gemma and have now put my feet up to watch Eastenders!
Thank you for your support and donation to Cancer Research, it was an emotional day seeing everyone running in celebration or memory of loved ones. It made me realise what a very worthwhile cause this is, with great support from the public shown along the route. I'm very pleased and proud I've done it!! I can look forward to giving myself 2 weeks off with KFC & McDonalds every night- kidding.

As most of you know Brian (my husband) was unfortunately diagnosed with Kidney Cancer last year, and whilst he's had a succesful operation to remove it, we won't have the 100% all clear for 5 years. We keep our fingers crossed in the meantime.
This photo was taken in Trinidad in March where he took a much needed rest.... not sure about those NHS nurses though!! I'd like to raise money in recognition for all the help and support we had during the really fast diagnosis and subsequent treatment Brian received. So I've signed up to do a half marathon on the 27th September......OMG!
"Run to the Beat 2009 is a London half marathon with live music played around the course. The course starts and finishes at the O2 Arena and taking the runners all around Greenwich. With music stations along the way, Run to the Beat is a great event for both runners and music lovers!"
