Story
Hi,
My name is Sam and I am 10 years old, I live on Wynyard Estate and attend Red House School in Norton. I joined the Borough of Stockton Swim Scheme in January 2007 and since then have been swimming regularly for both Stockton ASC and the Borough of Stockton.
I have decided to take on the Channel Challenge 2008 and use my swimming to help raise funds for a very worthy cause, Butterwick Hospice. My challenge is to swim the distance of the English channel (21 Miles), the time allowed for this challenge is 112 days but I have set myself a challenge of completing this task in just 21 days!!
At this time of year we all set ourselves challenges whether it be to give up smoking or to lose those extra few pounds we gained at Christmas, so why not help me by donating the cost of that packet of cigarettes or that bar of chocolate and at the same time help yourself with your challenge. The money is going to help a very worthy cause.
