We train amazing hearing dogs to transform the lives of deaf people

Story

Thanks for visiting this page.

This year I am running the Silverstone Half Marathon to raise money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. They are a friendly charity who train dogs to help deaf people :) The dogs are trained to respond to certain noises in different ways whether it is the doorbell, a phone ringing or a fire alarm. In some situations it can be the dog that saves their owner's life. In lots of cases though, it just gives the owners confidence in going outdoors independently.

^ That's their webpage.. please have a look. It is a wonderful charity.

AND PLEASE DONATE. It's really easy. You can do it all with your debit card ;) I don't even see the money.. it goes straight to the charity!

Even if you aren't a fan of dogs, I'm sure you know people who have hearing imparities who you can support by donating. And if that isn't reason enough please donate for me.. cause i shall be running 13.1 miles don't you know!

Many thanks!

About the charity

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.
