Story
About The Cruise
Every year we bring a little cheer to the villages of south berks and help kick Christmas off with the Burghfield Santa Cruise
It started back in 2005 when 3 of us needed an excuse to dress up and Father Christmas and shake tins at people
The event grows annually and this year a dozen intrepid Santa Cruisers will hit the streets of Padworth, Mortimer, Burghfield Common and Burghfield Village, while dressed as Father Christmas.
As is only appropriate the Santas will be riding reindeer (appropriately decked out bicycles) for the majority of the route, switching to alternative means of transport in the evening.
The Burghfield Santa Cruise is a true test of stamina for some of the more unhealthy humans on the planet...
The important bit
Don't worry about using this site - yes they do take a small percentage of the reclaimed giftaid - but JG do the administration, and the collection of the money reducing overhead on the charity - using JG The Air Ambulance will get 23% more than if we collected cash from you - which means in all more money goes to keeping the helicopter in the air!
The Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust is a charity which receives no funding from the NHS or from the National Lottery, but relies entirely on Sponsorship, donations and fundraising activities such as this
All costs of participation are met by the ‘Cruisers’ so we will be paying for drink, decorations - reindeer food and the Santa outfits so all proceeds from donations and collection go to Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust!!!
So please please please dig deep and sponsor us online give some money and help us match your generosity from previous years - it really does mean a huge amount to so many people!
