Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I did it! Slowly but surely- after over 300 miles in training including 2 half marathons-despite being trampled by a horse when out walking 29/3, knocked down a mountain by a snowboarder on 10/4, trapped nerve in left leg, I was determined to succeed- I completed the 2009 London Marathon in 4 hrs 46 minutes. Not bad for someone who is fifty later this year!

And in memory of Trevor Page a colleague who died after a lifetime battle with CF, I have raised over £1000 thanks to everyone who has supported me- you have been an inspiration!

CF is the UK's most life-threatening inherited disease.1 in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes CF. If 2 carriers start a family, each baby has a 1 in 4 chance of having CF.Every £ you donate helps someone with the disease - there are over 8,000 babies, children and young adults in the UK who have CF.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cystic Fibrosis Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now! Thank you so much.
