Hi everyone!

I'm taking part in this year's Kiltwalk for the very first time and have selected Marine Connection as the beneficiary charity.

Marine Connection is a small charity dedicated to the protection of and education on whales, dolphins and porpoises. The charity was instrumental in the closure of the last dolphinarium in the UK and has recently celebrated 30 years in operation.

Contrary to popular opinion, it is not illegal to keep whales, dolphins and porpoises in captivity in this country, but Marine Connection is campaigning to change that - and I for one wholeheartedly support them.

Doing this fundraising event through Just Giving means all generated donations will go directly to Marine Connection, which will provide vital funding for the charity to continue the great work they do in defending, protecting and preserving these magnificent creatures.
