This is why I am running those 26 miles:
Yes I know a lot of you think I am mad to run the marathon, but it has always been one of my life goals and is a way to raise money for a charity close to my heart.
Back in 2002 Michael and I sadly lost our first baby, which as you can imagine was a very distraught time for us both. Thankfully our story has a happy ending as we now have 2 wonderful children, Tom aged 3¾ and Jenna who is just coming up to 7 months.
Sadly our situation is not unique however it's not often spoken about as it's such a personal topic. Therefore helping to support this charity will raise the awareness and help support people like us through those difficult times.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Miscarriage Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
