Story
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for visiting my fund raising page
From 7th to 16th May 2011 I will be joining around 60 people aiming to hike across the entire Inca Trail locate in Peru (South America), as part of Macmillan's Kilimanjaro Hiking Challenge The 10 day challenge will me through remote mountain trails to the first sight of the lost city of the incas Machu Picchu, to the highest point of the climb reaching 4200m. It promises to be an extremely testing physical challenge as I will be trekking and camping in remote and dramatic conditions. I am doing this in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and need your help. (registered charity no. 261017).
More than two million people in the UK today have had a cancer diagnosis, and more than one in three will be diagnosed at some time in their life, some of you may know someone in your family or a friend whom has been diasgnosed with cancer. As well as taking action today to support people from the moment they suspect they have cancer, Macmillan are shaping the future of cancer care. Thanks to the support they receive Macmillan provides the practical and emotional support which makes a real difference to people living with cancer today - and tomorrow.
