Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Owen and Charli's JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your
details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send
unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to
Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital and make sure Gift Aid is
reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most
efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting
costs for the charity. So please dig deep and donate now.
Between the 3rd and 9th of April this year we will be walking the South Downs Way and raising money for Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital. The walk is approximately 100 miles (160km) and we are aiming to walk roughly 15 miles a day for one week.
We have been preparing for this walk for the last few months and have decided only fairly recently to do this as a charity walk after a suggestion by a student at the school Charli works at. The same student chose the charity, Great Ormond Street, here's how your donation could help:
£10 - Could buy a large tin of paint to help us decorate the walls and ceilings of a new ward
£20 - Could buy four special neonatal masks, small and delicate enough to fit a new born baby’s face £35 - Could help towards the cost of an operating microscope for one of our surgical theatres
£50 - Could pay for five nights up keep for one of our patient accommodation rooms £100 - could buy four toys specially adapted for the children to help with their rehabilitation
£500 **OUR GOAL **- a respiration monitor to track a child’s breathing Head over to our Twitter page and follow us (after making a donation!) to follow our progress along the South Downs.
