Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page I have set up on behalf of my husband, Seain, and my brother, John.
Seain and John are running in the BUPA Great North Run on Sunday 19th September 2010 in aid of Spinal Research (http://www.spinal-research.org/). This charity has become close to all of our hearts since our Dad was involved in an accident which left him paralysed in September 2007.
To date, Seain and John have raised over £4200 for the charity with Seain and John both running the London Marathon in April 2009 and John completing the Great North Run in September 2008. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who has supported them in the past (notably via the extremely successful race night and raffle in February 2009) and we look toward you again to help raise funds for this worthy charity.
Spinal Research is the UK’s leading charity funding medical research around the world to develop reliable treatments for paralysis caused by a broken back or neck. |
Every year more than 800 people in the UK and Ireland are paralysed following an injury to their spinal cord. Some of you may know and love some of the people affected by this. We do. That is why we need your help to try and make a difference through supporting Spinal Research's work. Spinal Research raises money to fund research into clinical treatments as well as vital basic science research. Thanks to such pioneering research, paralysis can now be treated and we stand on the brink of applying therapies that will restore movement and feeling and transform the lives of paralysed people. |
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you in anticipation of your support.
