Story
Yikes!
I'd love to be able to say I was really looking forward to this, but that would be an out and out lie! The challenge is to get from the source of the River Dart (somewhere desolate on Dartmoor - think Dog Soldiers) all the way to it's entrance to the Sea at Blackpool Sands in a variety of interesting and possibly painful ways. Honestly guys - look on a map - it's a long bloomin way!

UPDATE!
WE ALL MADE IT and the biggest shock of all was that we loved every minute of it!!
What a FANTASTIC few days! A great challenge and what a feeling at the finish line!
Team Seamonkey's unrelenting cheerfulness & positive attitude saw us through - even smiling in the torrential rain on top of Dartmoor! Hi to all the Coke crew, BT, Network Marketing & Knowledge Solutions team members we had the chance to speak to along the way - thanks for all your support :O)
Thanks to the whole Source2Sea team and to all the coaches - here is a quote from our lovely coach Sukhy which I think sums it all up - (Thanks x)
'...their spirits were always high, and they never gave up, always giving 100% and more, right to the very end. It was truly an inspiring attitude and great to be a part of.'
Hope to see some of you next year or maybe in Wales!

The sea monkey re-incarnated are: Angus Bloomfield (very competitive but sadly can't find anything), Clare Perez (I'm sure she'll keep us all in line so long as we listen!!); Emma Snowden (hates heights but loves horse riding - if only there was any on this challenge!), Mel Moore (fit and fast, but likely to be distracted by local pubs); Sue Kinsey (willing to try anything apparently...); and last and most probably least too, Kat Stephenson (why did I say that I'd do this?).
From what I heard from last years Sea Monkeys, this is going to be a real test of our usual sunny positive attitudes, fitness (or lack of!), stamina and mental abilities - so I guess we'll be lucky to make it back in one piece!!! (Thanks for the inspiring tales by the way Marianne, Sam, Richard, Peter & Tim - they helped soooo much!!).
But..... it will all be worth it if we raise lot's of money for the best charity I know - The Marine Conservation Society!
Please dig deep and sponsor us online - every penny counts.
£10 could pay for 4 MCS Don't Let Go packs to be sent out to people intending to hold mass balloon releases to let them know how harmful they are to marine life.
£50 could ensure that one nesting site in Sri Lanka is protected in-situ for 48 hours - involving local communities in ensuring the survival of the endangered marine turtle.
£100 could provide a new volunteer group with some of the safety equipment and support they need to take part in Beachwatch - collecting harmful marine litter to protect marine habitats and wildlife.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Marine Conservation Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
A BIG THANK YOU for your support.
