Story

UPDATE   Yes Sean and Chris both managed to complete the 'Marathon de Paris', on Sunday 6th April 2008.  It was dry a bit cold, so ideal for running.  There were about 50,000 runners and several hundred thousand spectators along the route, with bands and music all the way round.  It was well run and a great event.  We both really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Sean completed the run in 4 hours 22 minutes and Chris completed it in 5 hours 10 minutes.  Not being natural athletes or long distance runners, this was a major achievement for us both.

Most people are tending to sponsor off-line and we beleive we are due to raise about £1800.  Are target is £2500 so we intend to make a further push for our chosen Charity.  Why Leukaemia Research.  Well Sean’s son, Andrew's first girlfriend was Lyndsey FENLON.  She was a young talented beautiful fun loving girl, who was struck down in her prime with Leukaemia and sadly died in 2006, aged 15 years.  This run is in memory of Lyndsey, a special person and to further support those that work to identify the causes, treatments and cures for all blood cancers.

So thank you for visiting our fundraising page.  Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Leukaemia Research will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!    Many thanks for your support.  We will update us on our progress.
