Between us we have achieved the two things I had hoped for.  Through the generosity of many I have raised in excess of the target of £2000 for the National Association of Colitis and Crohn's Disease.  Helped by that inspiration I ran a personal best of 3.56 in the 2009 New York Marathon on 1st November.  It was a great day with good weather and superb support from 2 million people on the streets.

As someone who works so much with people with Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis I am very aware of the excellent work of NACC.  I am also aware the these common and debilitating conditions are often ignored and are not commonly in the public eye.  I can assure you that these conditions require more research and those with them need some practical support and NACC does this brilliantly.  Please give generously!
