Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sands will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
As some of you may know and for those who don't, I lost our very precious baby boy Elan on the 19th June 08, he was stillborn at 35 weeks. SANDS has been my lifeline over the last couple of very difficult months, the help and advise they offer has helped keep me slightly sane. The WHY 17 campaign offers hope for many people. Did you know 17 babies are stillborn or die shortly after birth every day in the UK.  Sands believes this figure is unacceptably high, and they want to ensure that as few parents as possible have to experience this devastating loss.
With your support, the money and awareness that we can potentially raise for Sands ensures they can continue supporting those affected by the death of a baby and helps promote research to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
If you would like any further information about Sands please visit their website at www.uk-sands.org
So please dig deep and sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
