Grahame, Janie and I will climb Ben Nevis on 25 June 2011 to raise money for this very worthwhile cause in memory of my mother Eileen Greenslade nee Carmichael. Taken too soon in 1998 by this horrible disease.

Whilst planning my approaching wedding, and knowing my mother would not be here to attend, I decided I would like to do something in her memory. I have chosen to climb Ben Nevis to raise money for Cancer Research UK. My friends Grahame and Janie have gladly agreed to support me in this endeavour by joining me in this challenge. As I am not particularly fit or have much hillwalking experience, I feel this is an appropriate goal for me.

I would just like to Say we made it! Thanks to everyone who has supported us in so many different ways to reach not one, but two goals!

Goal 1 - We reached the summit without injury and back down again, also without injury.

Goal 2 - we smashed our fundraising target! Still more to collect too.... Will keep updating!
