Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some of you will know my dear friend Guy Llewellyn who was paralysed from the waist down in an accident last May. He is an amazing french horn player ( you may know him as a member of "Prime Brass") and thankfully is still able to play. Many of his musician friends wanted to do something to help raise money and he suggested a sponsored "grade one a thon" - where we learn a totally new instrument in 8 weeks, culminating in taking grade 1 in that instrument and performing in a concert! The concert is on 27th February - let me know if you want tickets.
Darren and I are both learning percussion and had a fantastic lesson with Dame Evelyn Glennie on 3rd January. Now it's down to us, but we're enjoying it very much so practising isn't too much hard work.
An extra challenge is that I have to do better than Darren! Whoever does least well out of the 2 of us will donate £50.
All money raised will go to the "spinal injuries association" who helped Guy immensely when he was in Stoke Mandeville hospital for 4 months and are continuing to provide support for him and his family through this very difficult time.
If you would like to sponsor me please read the paragraph below from Justgiving and press "Donate now".
Many thanks - I'll keep you updated!
