The Essex Air Ambulance is a helicopter emergency medical service with the ability to access remote areas quickly, bringing highly qualified clinicians and sophisticated life-saving equipment to patients within the first few vital minutes of an emergency. It costs around £250,000 each month to cover all charitable costs and aircraft operations. The Charity is reliant upon donations from the people of Essex who give generously in order to keep the county's life-saving helicopter service in the air. We can't fly without you! My story

A year ago we sadly lost a friend and neighbour in a car accident. Bonnie (Pictured left) would have been 21 this year and as a tribute to her memory, and as a thank you to Essex Air Ambulance for the efforts they made to save her life, I am taking part in a challenging trek taking place from the 6th April - 16th, in the foothills of the Himalayas to raise money for this much needed service.

We will be visiting the Dharamsala region of the Himalayas which is home to Dalai Lama as featured on Michael Palin's Himalaya!

The Air Ambulance is not Government or NHS funded and relies solely on donations from the general public and local businesses, so any amount you can donate will help. www.essexairambulance.co.uk

I am hoping to raise a substantial amount of money through events and sponsorship for this trek with monthly fundraising events and donations.
